Acknowledgement of Country
The Connection Arts Space Gallery is located at 1 Walker Street, Dandenong, on the unceded lands of the Woi-Wurrung and Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation.

We acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Custodians and Elders – Past and present of the Kulin Nation on which we connect and create.

Connection Arts Space recognises Aboriginal connection to material and creative practice on these lands for more than 60,000 years and First Nation peoples’ enduring presence and knowledge that continues to nurture the Land, Water and Space we share.

Connection Arts Space (CAS) is an arts organisation based in Dandenong, the most multicultural city in Australia, prioritising creatives and world-builders from CALD and underrepresented backgrounds/identities. We reflect the communities we platform, composed of a diverse team of CALD and LGBTIQA+ identifying creatives living in South East Narrm. We are dedicated to providing accessible opportunities for local artists who challenge traditional ways of thinking in the suburbs. As culturally diverse artists, we particularly recognise that art and creativity happens beyond formal education, accolades, public image and recognition from mainstream metropolitan arts spaces. We hold space for practices that happen on the edges: intergenerational craft, ritual and storytelling.

Our Vision:
The Connection Arts Space vision is for ‘a community that fosters creativity, collaboration and leadership through the arts’.

Our Missions:
The Connection Arts Space missions are as follows

COMMUNITY – Nurture the arts and strengthen connections within local communities.

ACCESSIBILITY – Foster opportunities and pathways in the arts to engage new audiences.

SUSTAINABILITY- Strengthen the economic viability of the arts.
